What you won't learn from my bio

I lived in Germany for seven years as a military brat and went to high school in Montana. Those early experiences sparked my love of travel — I’ve visited more than thirty countries and every continent except Antarctica.

Daniel Fain serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Covenant House Texas, a leading nonprofit providing housing and comprehensive support services to youth experiencing homelessness. In this role, he oversees the organization’s financial strategy, capital planning, and long-term sustainability, drawing on a career that spans corporate banking, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Daniel began his career in corporate banking, spending nearly a decade at BOK Financial in Houston, where he specialized in delivering financing and treasury solutions to middle-market companies across the E&P, energy services, commercial, and industrial sectors. He later transitioned into the role of CFO at an early-stage venture focused on energy midstream, chemical storage, and logistics, and in 2022 co-founded a commercial real estate investment firm. He has also served as CFO of a Houston-based nonprofit focused on workforce development.

A serial entrepreneur, Daniel has launched multiple ventures spanning real estate, energy, and investments. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he concentrated in finance and entrepreneurship and completed a full-term exchange at the London School of Economics. He earned a BBA from the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business and a BS from Texas A&M University and also holds a Public Leadership Credential from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Daniel is a licensed real estate agent in Texas, an Eagle Scout, and a Boston Marathon finisher. He has achieved A1 German language proficiency through the Goethe-Institut. He is an active member of Grace Bible Church and enjoys hiking, pickleball, and reading in his free time.
